Help Me Forgive
When rage and fury overwhelm my heart,
It’s time to look to God’s own Holy Word.
I search the Bible for His good advice;
My will to His commands must be deferred.
In Romans God reveals His love for me;
In all things God works only for my good;
He gives me blessings I can’t understand;
I’d be peaceful if I’d do the things I should.
Jesus forgave so much; why then can’t I?
I want to mold my life after His own.
I pray, I try, but my sinful nature wins;
Lord, help me, I can’t do this thing alone.
In Colossians, I read about the peace of Christ;
Oh, how I long to feel it in my heart.
All I have to do is to forgive,
But Lord, it seems I don’t know where to start.
I need to walk a mile in the other’s shoes;
They’re doing what they think they have to do.
I know some problems are blessings in disguise,
But Lord, sometimes I feel so doggone blue.
Ephesians says "forgive as the Lord forgave you;
Get rid of anger and every form of malice.
"I’d love to just let go and release it all,
But upon my heart is a wound that’s become a callus.
I’ll keep praying, trying, Lord, no matter what;
I’m determined to let go and relinquish blame;
Some day, I’ll say, and be truly sincere:
"I forgive it all in Jesus’ precious name."
(Romans 8:28, Colossians 3:13, Ephesians 4:31)

This is honestly getting nowhere.
Lets just get this straight.
The bible said this already again and again and again, People who do not accept Jesus will not enter the kingdom of heaven (accordance to the Bible).
Thing is,

I have ALL THE RIGHTS to believe in what i believe in and to say the truth of my religion, that is Christ is the only way to heaven. What the other religions believe are theirs to believe.
So why are you so aggravated by the fact that I'm telling you what i believe in?

Glad to know you understand mercy and grace is real. FYI, if you state that some people "don't deem it to be" Then so be it. Its not like we're manipulating anyone, we're sharing what WE believe in. They have the rights to think otherwise.

Trust me, my eyes are open.
Those without Jesus cannot enter heaven.
Thats what we believe in, like i said again and again and again.
Then again, i'm not forcing anything here, these are the facts of christianity. You have all the rights to believe in what you believe in.

If your not squandering, what would you answer when God asks "what have you been doing with your life?" (assuming that both you and i believe in the very existence of a God)

Sceptic: someone who habitually doubts accepted beliefs; doubter.

*I doubted hope, trust, love, and redemption. And it hit me.*

Apparently, i DO NOT sit down and do nothing, i move a lot.
I make time blessing others with whatever i can, because seeing people grin ear to ear makes it worthwhile.
The very reason why i do not squander is because i have a purpose in life, an aim.

In a nutshell,
Do notice this is a CF blog.

We share what we believe here.
We DO NOT condemn people because they don't believe in Christ. This are the mere fundamentals laid out for you to know, not to force anyone into believing.

And look, if you still want to continue nagging at us about how you state heaven and hell IN OUR ACCORDANCE i suggest you do so in the comment box.

The chatbox is for somewhat lighter messages (note of encouragements, drop-bys etc etc....)

Thank you.

To question, to oppose, is not to condemn. The heaven and hell issue to YOUR ACCORDANCE very well damns everyone else. By saying that those who do not believe in Jesus will not enter the kingdom of heaven, arent you agreeing with the fact that everyone else will go to the opposite; which is hell? In stating this, arent you damning everyone else..?? I wonder; cant you recognize the freedom of others to think what they may? Isnt saying that not believing in Jesus will get you to hell depriving everyone of THEIR right to think what they like?

You do have a right to believe in what you want to. But do u take it as an insult every time a question is thrown at you? A question that challenges your belief system?

As for the question about God asking me ; What have you done with your life?
That can easily be the same question a psychiatrist would pose to someone in rehabilitation?.

Tell me....this line; 'If you confess, all of your sins will be forgiven', is a line many have heard all too many times. So what about murder and those sorts of things?? Are those deeds forgiven too? When God asks them what they have been doing with their lives (in accordance to your assumption that both you and i believe in the very existence of a god), what would they answer then?

Would they be forgiven and allowed entry into the Kingdom of Heaven? Or would they be cast into the Pits of Hell? If they are forgiven, then it holds true to the notion that ' Confess and your sins will be forgiven'. However, if they are not forgiven, then it contradicts the statement doesnt it?? And in first place, WOULD one really be forgiven for deeds such as murder, genocide, etc etc.?
I thought such things were deemed bad.

You state that you do not squander with the reason that u have a purpose in life, an aim. On the other hand you mentioned that I squander.....i do have aims, i do have goals. And then when God asks me what i did with my life (based on your assumptions), will what i say determine the events that will follow this encounter??
This doesnt really justify free will doesnt it? (assuming you believe in free will.) What is the point in trying to make out your own future with your deeds if someone else is going to judge you later and impose his own specific future for you?

I have met with your demands and will not disturb the chat box.

This perhaps shall get nowhere..but that depends on factors that are not so visible on the surface of things.

@random:

not all Christians are so sure that all non-Christians will go to hell.

for example, Jesus says in John 14:6 that He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no-one can come to the Father (that's God) except through Him.

however, what some Christian thinkers question then, can a person be saved through Christ without knowing him?

which would mean that someone who doesn't believe in Christ might end up in heaven, and only then realise that he/she was wrong, and that they had been saved through Christ.

now of course this is debatable and different Christians will say different things; i'm not saying that this is the definite truth, i'm just pointing out that there are alternative ways to understand the scripture. so fellow Christians, if you disagree, don't kill me. =P

Read Matthew 5:21-22, it may help you with the problem of murderers being forgiven. what it basically points out is that we're all murderers inside, even though we don't all act it out.

hope my comments help. feel free to email me at doogsy.dog@gmail.com if you would like to discuss these matters further.

and if any christians have wounded or offended you in the past, please forgive us. hope you can look past our flaws and ugliness and see the God who loves you.

God bless,

A challenge for my belief system?
I doubt so, i've heard these questions i can almost recite them.
Even christians like i am would ask these questions, what more non-believers.
And i believe they made thse cute little "booklets" to answer them.
You should check them out.

I also seem to doubt that psychiatrists ask this particular question. In fact, i think they are more interested in getting patients well instead of playing the role of "God"

I would never know what murderers would answer God, but i know that as long they have repented, believe in him...They too deserve the rights to enter heaven. After all, the God we believe in is a God of second chances.

I'm not sure if this is new to you, but Gods standards are so high we can never live a life so upright and just we would enter heaven by good deeds.
You know, by having lusty thoughts you have already committed adultery.
And by hating someone, you have already murdered that person.

By the way, there is no measure for "good" and "bad".
Its just like closing up a hole in a dam with plastic straws if we try to measure up someones bad deeds so we can throw that murderer in to the fiery pits of hell.

Well, impose?
As far as i'm concerned, i didn't tell you what to do did i?
What you say won't determine the following events. It all comes down to the same thing.
What you believe in.

And i notice you get really pushy when it come to the heaven hell issue.

Atheists deny the very existence of God. Which means, when we die, we go nowhere. we become nothing.
Aren't THEY damning the rest when some of us actually want to go to heaven?

And heck. I don't have a purpose in life, made that up. I never did.
Surprised?
However i can tell you this.
Its My life for Gods purpose.
But thats all just semantics to some people.

Just to justify things here,
You can be anything you want to.
After all, its all about free will right?
So go ahead and do what you like, as long as you know the consequences of doing certain things.
